Review of Ad Rotators: What are they and are they good for Affiliate Marketers?

Ad or URL Rotators have become popular recently but are they good for your affiliate marketing business?

First though, what is an Ad Rotator (also called URL Rotator) ?

Simply put, an Ad or URL Rotator allows you to submit one or more URLS to be added to a rotation for advertising purposes.
Your Ad/URL then appears in rotation with other participating URLS, either on one site, or a number of sites.
Your ad is not static and does not appear all the time, it gets exposed or shown/viewed in random order along with all the other URLS entered.

Benefits of URL Rotators.

Low Cost.
Using a Rotator is very inexpensive advertising. The cost goes up for the amount of time your ad appears in rotation, the number of URLS you can submit, and the number of sites included in the system. In general, the bang for your buck is very good. Expect to pay about $20 to $50 depending on the type and terms of the Ad Rotator service.

Exposure.
Affiliate marketers have long relied on low cost methods of advertising like safelists, banner ads, solo ads and so forth. Ad Rotators open up a larger market and increased exposure especially if your Ads appear on a number of sites, not just one site.

Time Saver.
By participating in an Ad Rotator that includes your Ad on a number of sites, you save a tremendous amount of time by just having to enter your Ad one time.

Target Marketing.
If you want to sell leads, opportunities, traffic, or low cost products and services to a home based, affiliate type audience, you can't go wrong with Ad Rotators.

Easy To Use.
Rotators are extremely easy to use. Essentially you just enter the Title of Your Site and the URL of your site.
The system does the rest to enter your ad into the rotation cycle for the advertising term specified.

What to be aware of..

1. Make sure you are provided with some type of stats or interval reporting to indicate the exposure for your ads, and the click rate.
This is very helpful and valuable information to you as an Advertiser. Any reputable provider should include this for advertisers, it's vital data.

2. Ideally you should be provided with a list of websites, either before ordering and or after to show you where your Ads will appear.

3. If you are given the opportunity to change your Ad/URL without cost during your advertising term, that is ideal. That way you are not locked into promoting just one affiliate link, you can swap it our for another if you like.

In conclusion, Ad Rotators are very good advertising value for Affiliate Marketers.

Safelist advertising is a powerful, effective advertising resource for affiliate marketers. Here's why and how to maximize your responses.

A Safelist is a mailing list where Members can email each other. These emails cannot be considered as spam because Member must opt-in to receive the mailings and also have confirmed their email address. A Safelist can be used to advertise a product or service, including business opportunities, affiliate programs, home business products, Clickbank products and so forth. Most Safelists work by allowing Members to earn credits but also offer paid advertising. Basic Membership in a Safelist is usually free.

Benefits of Safelist Advertising

1. Affordable: Cost is ZERO to join most safelists. You can either surf to earn credits for your own advertising, or you can pay a very small cost for a paid subscription. Paid subscriptions allow you to post more often and to more people. If you can afford it get a paid subscription, cost can be as little as $10 and up. By upgrading to a paid subscription you can post more often and don't have to rely on earning credits.

2. Targeted: You reach a targeted audience of other home business folks, affiliate marketers, entrepreneurs and information seekers.

3. Legitimate: Once scoffed at as a cheesy time-wasting practice, Safelists are a legitimate marketing practice and have gained credibility and popularity. Spam laws have limited the number of ways to market a product or service. Safelist Advertising allows marketers to reach consumers easily and legitimately with their permission.

4. Variety: There are various forms of advertising available within Safelist programs. Members have many options for advertising affordably and this can include Text Ads, HTML ads, solo ads, banners, login ads, landing pages, ad rotations etc.

5. Reach: Creating your own in-house mailing list is ideal but does take an enormous amount of time and can be self-limiting to who is on your own list. To get better results from your Safelist advertising, here is what you need to know.

Always, always, always promote a LANDING PAGE and NOT your website when using Safelist Advertising. Remember you want to make an eye-popping offer and get an instant result. By results you want a lead, or an optin to your email marketing list. Your website can't and won't do that in most cases.

A Landing Page that will generate results includes:
-Attention Grabbing headline
-Point form, punchy copy thick with the benefits to the reader
-A call to action, DO THIS! GET THIS!
-Lead form to gather contact details of the person.
-Option to subscribe to your newsletter, or receive further special offers
-More copy than graphics so your page loads quickly and command attention with words not distracting unnecessary graphics.

When posting your ads, don't rely on just one Safelist. If your funds are limited select 3 – 5 to upgrade in to get started and post as often as you can. If you have a dud ad that doesn't get response, change it up, run a revised or different ad.

Make sure you have some type of ad tracking software so when you post and ad you can see the click-rate and analyze the effective of your ads. Many Safelists offer this tool for their Members.

The key to effective Safelist Advertising is three fold.

1) Get a paid subscription from a number of reputable Safelists so you can promote to larger audiences and more often.
2) Promote a well-written copy-dense Landing Page with minimal graphics. Emphasis is on eye-grabbing headline, benefit-laden copy, and ultra-fast loading.
3) Pick only reputable Safelists.

I have never been so impressed with a company in my life. I just want to say thanks for all you have done for me to this point. I am very overwelmed in both way's happy and yet where do I start. I am learning everyday thanks to George, Sandi.and the staff at Worldprofit. I am new to the computer world and it's a little big for a newbie. How many posting have you done today?
If the answer is ZERO what are you waiting for! Use the new Landing pages we've added and use the list of places we recommend that you post. Use free ads or paid ads, or a combination of both. We list both kinds of resources in your member area under the Advertising/Traffic section on left menu.

2. Check your Ad Tracker data DAILY!

What does your AD TRACKER tell you about your promotion?
Are you getting clicks on your ad?
You want at least an average of 100 per DAY, with 200 being a good average amount, and any higher than that terrific!
Find your Ad Tracker on the LEFT menu under ADVERTISING/TRAFFIC it's INCLUDED in both the Silver and Platinum VIP Membership.

3. Tally how many Associates you have signed up DAILY!

How many Associates have you signed up today?
If the answer is ZERO, then you need to go back to PROMOTING, then check your Ad Tracker.
