Google has been slowly releasing tidbits of its much anticipated new site indexing system. These changes are significant for how sites are ranked, and what content is returned for searchers. History related to that search term

Previews related to that search term
Shopping related sites related to that search term
Books related to that search term
Related Searches related to that search term
Forums related to that search term
and more.
Twitter has been integrated and tweets are indexed along with other posted content. What weight they are given is yet to be seen but do a search and you will see the Tweets listed as well.
You can see how the popularity of Twitter, Social Networking sites like FaceBook, and of course YouTube have propelled a number of sweeping changes in how Google indexes online content by key word.
